Device Information: We may collect device-specific data such as operating system, device type (such as your mobile device ID, model, and manufacturer), version information and system configuration information, application identification numbers, and usage statistics. We may also collect information about the phone network associated with your mobile device, your mobile device’s operating system or platform, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device’s unique device ID, and information about the features of our application(s) you accessed.

Push Notifications. We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or certain features of our application(s). If you wish to opt-out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device’s settings.

Payment Data:

Motiv Mouse does not collect, process, or store your payment information. All payments for in-app purchases and subscriptions are securely processed by the platform from which you downloaded the app (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).

How Payments Work:

When you make a purchase, your payment details (e.g., credit card number, billing information) are handled directly by Apple or Google, depending on your platform.

RevenueCat acts as an intermediary to manage subscription entitlements and purchase validation but does not store or process payment credentials.

Motiv Mouse only receives non-sensitive transactional data (e.g., purchase confirmation and subscription status) from RevenueCat to grant you access to premium features.

ChatGPT Data: When you interact with ChatGPT features in Motiv Mouse, your queries are processed via OpenAI’s API. OpenAI does not store API interactions beyond 30 days and does not use them for training its models. However, Motiv Mouse retains ChatGPT conversation history in Firebase for user experience enhancement. Users may request permanent deletion of their stored conversations by contacting support@motivmouse.com.

Data Retention & Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data, including secure storage in Firebase for ChatGPT conversation history and account-related data.

Retention Period:

Account-related data is retained until account deletion unless required by law.

Security Disclaimer: While we make every effort to secure data, no system is 100% secure, and we encourage users to avoid sharing sensitive or personal information within the ChatGPT feature.

OpenAI does not use ChatGPT API interactions for training or model improvements. ChatGPT interactions are retained by OpenAI for no more than 30 days for abuse monitoring before automatic deletion.

User Control: You may request permanent deletion of your ChatGPT conversation history at any time by emailing support@motivmouse.com with the subject “Delete My ChatGPT Data”.

Important: We strongly advise against sharing personal, financial, or sensitive information in ChatGPT interactions, as AI-generated responses are not monitored in real-time.

3. How We Use Your Data

Account Creation: We may process your information so you can create and log in to your account, as well as keep your account in working order.

Communication: We may use your data to send you updates, newsletters and other communications related to the App.

Service Usage and Improvement: We will process your information to facilitate use of our application and analyze usage data to improve app features and functionality.

Security: We may utilize your information as part of our efforts to keep our application safe and secure, including fraud monitoring and prevention.

Third-Party Service Partners: We share certain data with third-party service providers to facilitate app functionalities. Specifically, we use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat collects purchase history and may receive user identifiers if provided. They do not access sensitive personal information unless explicitly shared. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data. Data is securely stored and processed using trusted third-party service partners. While we make every effort to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal or modify your personal information.

4.1 Data Retention

We retain personal and usage data only for as long as necessary to provide the Motiv Mouse Service, comply with legal obligations, and support user experience. Our data retention practices are as follows:

  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
    Information such as your name, email address, and birthday is retained for the life of your account. Upon account deletion, this data will be deleted or anonymized within 90 days, unless required to retain it for legal or security purposes.
  • User-Generated Content
    Content including tasks, challenges, level/progress data, and productivity assistant chat history is retained while your account is active. This data is deleted or anonymized within 90 days of account deletion or upon user request.
  • Inactive Accounts
    We may delete accounts and associated data after 12 months of continuous inactivity. We will attempt to notify users prior to deletion.
  • ChatGPT Interaction History
    Your assistant conversations are stored in Firebase to provide continuity and personalized responses. These can be deleted at any time upon request. Chat data is automatically deleted within 90 days of account deletion.
  • Backups and System Logs
    Backup copies of data may persist in system archives for up to 30–90 days for business continuity and security purposes, but are not used for active processing and are securely deleted thereafter.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. However, we may share data with third-party service partners(“third parties”) who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. We have contracts in place with our third parties, which are designed to help safeguard your personal information.

6. Use Prohibited By Minors

Our application is not intended for users under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect, store, or process data from children under 13, and any such accounts will be deleted upon discovery. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected data from a user under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete the information.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact us via motivmouse@motivmouse.com. Please include your name, address and/or email address and telephone number when you contact us.

Push Notifications. We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or certain features of our application(s). If you wish to opt-out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device’s settings.

Payment Data:

Motiv Mouse does not collect, process, or store your payment information. All payments for in-app purchases and subscriptions are securely processed by the platform from which you downloaded the app (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).

How Payments Work:

When you make a purchase, your payment details (e.g., credit card number, billing information) are handled directly by Apple or Google, depending on your platform.

RevenueCat acts as an intermediary to manage subscription entitlements and purchase validation but does not store or process payment credentials.

Motiv Mouse only receives non-sensitive transactional data (e.g., purchase confirmation and subscription status) from RevenueCat to grant you access to premium features.

Security Disclaimer: While we make every effort to secure data, no system is 100% secure, and we encourage users to avoid sharing sensitive or personal information within the ChatGPT feature.

OpenAI does not use ChatGPT API interactions for training or model improvements. ChatGPT interactions are retained by OpenAI for no more than 30 days for abuse monitoring before automatic deletion.

User Control: You may request permanent deletion of your ChatGPT conversation history at any time by emailing support@motivmouse.com with the subject “Delete My ChatGPT Data”.

Important: We strongly advise against sharing personal, financial, or sensitive information in ChatGPT interactions, as AI-generated responses are not monitored in real-time.

Account Creation: We may process your information so you can create and log in to your account, as well as keep your account in working order.

Communication: We may use your data to send you updates, newsletters and other communications related to the App.

Service Usage and Improvement: We will process your information to facilitate use of our application and analyze usage data to improve app features and functionality.

Security: We may utilize your information as part of our efforts to keep our application safe and secure, including fraud monitoring and prevention.

Third-Party Service Partners: We share certain data with third-party service providers to facilitate app functionalities. Specifically, we use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat collects purchase history and may receive user identifiers if provided. They do not access sensitive personal information unless explicitly shared. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data. Data is securely stored and processed using trusted third-party service partners. While we make every effort to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal or modify your personal information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. However, we may share data with third-party service partners(“third parties”) who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. We have contracts in place with our third parties, which are designed to help safeguard your personal information.

6. Use Prohibited By Minors

Our application is not intended for users under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect, store, or process data from children under 13, and any such accounts will be deleted upon discovery. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected data from a user under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete the information.

Any changes, modifications, additions or deletions will be posted within the Motiv Mouse application and shall be effective immediately upon posting there of. Continued use of the Motiv Mouse application after such notice of change shall constitute acceptance of any updated Privacy Policy.
